The river has dropped to 450 cfs and we had heard reports that river may even be brought down to 350. We will keep you posted as conditions change. We were greeted with some rain/snow mix yesterday that put a small amount of color in the river, but is already on the mend. Fishing is starting to pick up and with great hatches of baetis just about every day. Clients have lucky enough to run a dry dropper rig with fairly consistent success. Top bugs have been gray rs2′s, jr emerger, crawdad, leeches and hares ears.

Another beautiful fall weekend with boats reporting great fishing! Boats were concentrating from Lusby down to Robertson Road. We have been greeted with a steady mixture of trico’s, pseudo’s, caddis and a few straggling PMD’s as well. A nymph rig set up with either an AB or BB weight from 3 to 6ft seemed to be the best rig. Tailwater tiny’s in rust and black, clouser crawdad, leeches and pheasant tails all caught fish. Our bird season for pheasants and chukar is in full swing as well. Give us call and take care advantage of the great weather that is in store this upcoming week!
