Stripers continue to be the best bet with fair to good action, mostly on topwater lures on fish from two to five pounds, but some bigger fish in the mix. The surface bite has been off and on all day this past week. A few fish on cut baits, slow-trolled lures and flies, or umbrella rigs. The dam and main lake points have been the best spots with most fish in the two-pound class but some to six or seven pounds. A few catfish are showing on cut baits and this bite has improved in the past week with fair action. Largemouth bass have been fair to good with the topwater bite kicking into gear most mornings and evenings now. Mid-day action is best on plastics, and reaction baits. Bluegill and redear are fair to good on small jigs topped with baits or half a nightcrawler fished around structure in six to 20 feet of water. There is a health warning about eating fish from here.
