1 fish caught | Lunker: 4lb Largemouth Bass using a Vertical Lures Creature

I initially reviewed the Vertical Lure Creature 'X' in green pumpkin unfavorably. This review updates that one. We were on the water by 6:30 and by 7:00 we were off the landmark know locally as the "island". The sonar showed several fish near the bottom (at about 14.5 feet). I had prepared 4 rod for this trip. One had a green 3/8 oz. football head jig with a green pumpkin Creature 'X' on it. I cast it out and allowed it to fall near the spot where the sonar indicated the fish could be staged. I allowed the jig to hit the rocky bottom and bounced it off the rocks. About the 3rd bounce I felt this tug on the end of my line. I yanked back, setting the hook, and the fight was on. When he surfaced we netted him and weighted him. About an ounce under 4 lbs he was released directly after the picture was taken.

Me and my buddy went to the reservoir around 1:30 PM on a cloudy day. We didn't expect any fish to be biting, and just when I was about to call it a day I was dragging a rubber worm through the shallows and hooked a beautiful largemouth. It was a great catch.

This is the lake that I've been fishing since i was a young boy. Its really easy to get that huge bass you just got to know the spots and get the bait in there. i watch many people miss spots on this lake. just cause trees are down and stump its still workable you don't know whats sitting there till you give it a try don't be afraid to get in there and work it good. the baas i caught was by the rock trying to feed i cast along the rocks and work it nice and easy and he didn't take the first cast but the second cast he took it nice!!!!
