Lay Lake, Alabama - Coosa River Guide Service. Coosa River Bass Guide Joey Nania says get ready for some incredible topwater action as the weather continues to cool. We are only a week or two anyway from some for the best fishing in the year. Striped bass guide Jeremy Veitch reports numbers are better, but smaller fish have been the most active. Jeremy believes the next cool weather front will help the big fish bite. As for the crappie it's about a week or two away. The bites better then it was, but not where it will be soon. As for the catfish bite it's time! Big fish are already being landed and it's only going to get better. Call (205)362-8322 to book your trip today. www.laylakefishingguides.com

Coosa River Guide Service - www.laylakefishingguides.com Lay Lake fishing guide Jeremy Veitch reports the striper bite is picking up. While most of the fish are out of the creeks. There are a lot of hybrids holding around 20-30 feet deep and can be caught on jigging spoons and other artificials. Live bait is still the go to this time of year. Coosa River bass fishing guide Joey Nania reports good number on average size spotted bass and slow largemouth fishing. Joey expects the bite to pick up when cooler weather moves in

The Striped bass seem to have moved out of the springs and into the deeper water. Up until a couple weeks ago great numbers were in the spring feed creeks. We've been going back to check for the last two weeks, with not much luck. Live bait down lined is your best option when you find fish grouped up.
