There was a DFW trout plant two weeks ago in Section 4 (Kernville region), but the bite has slowed since then. A few fish are still showing in the bigger pools at the stock sites on salmon eggs and crickets. There is also fair action for wild and holdover fish above Kernville or flies. Flows remain about 140 cfs at Kernville and about 300 cfs below the dam. In the lower river the bass and catfish bites are slow with a few bass on plastic worms and nightcrawlers, while the cats are best on clams or nightcrawlers, and all the action is in the bigger pools.
