Slight improvement in the trout bite with the cooler evenings this week, but still mostly slow. The action is still before 9 a.m. Top baits have been PowerBait (in salmon peach, lemon twist, and orange), small jigs, and small lures. The catfish bite has been fair for the few anglers fishing nightcrawlers and shrimp with fish to eight pounds reported. Heat continues to keep the trout bite generally slow with only a few fish showing coming in before 9 a.m. Top baits have been PowerBait (in salmon peach, rainbow, and garlic), jigs, lures  and nightcrawlers. The fish showing have all been two-pound class fish. The pay-per-trout angling pond has been good. The catfish bite has also been fair for the few anglers fishing nightcrawlers and shrimp.
