3 fish caught | Lunker: 2lb Chain Pickerel using a Strike King Lipless Bait
Fished the beaverdam section of Falls lake. Fished a lot of trees and stumps with both a jig and a red eye shad without much luck. I caught the chain pickerel fishing rip rap around the old weaver road bridge with the red eye shad. I started see some fish break on top and saw that they were chasing a bait fish that was fairly small so I used the closest thing that I had in my tackle box, an all white rooster tail. I caught a total of 15 largemouth bass and 5 white bass.

I am still trying to figure this lake out. Took my kayak out and launched from Upper Barton Creek ramp. Fished a variety of baits including spinnerbaits, soft plastic worms and crawfish and crappie jigs. Didn't have but a couple of bites on the rubber worm and missed them. Oh well it isn't always about catching fish.

3 fish caught | Lunker: 1lb White Bass using a Yum Umbrella Jig

First time on this water fishing out of my Wilderness Systems Ride 135 Kayak. Conditions were cool and misty, not many boats on the water. Launched at Upper Barton's Creek. Went to the right away from the ramp. Fished a variety of soft plastics in the standing timber and along the rip rap with not much to show for my efforts. Actually caught my only fish on a Yumbrella ultralight rig trolled behind my kayak.
