Rising water levels have slowed the bite again this week, but the striper action is still fair for anglers fishing jigging spoons and ice jigs in 40 to 70 feet of water. Most are two-pound class fish. Some bigger stripers show after DFW trout plant on the big swimbaits, and the DFW plant was slated for this week. The largemouth and smallmouth bass action is slow to fair with most of the action on plastics, spoons, and ice jigs in 20 to 40 feet of water. Light fishing pressure and only a few other reports of catfish in deeper water on cut baits or nightcrawlers. No reports of anglers getting many of these fish. No panfish reports. The lake is currently 93 percent of capacity. For information call the marina at 661-775-6232 (www.CastaicLake.com) or Tackle Express at 661-251-8700.
