Trout are slated to be planted this week, and the last plant was three weeks ago. Plants are now tentatively scheduled for every three weeks. The best action continues to be on PowerBait and MiceTails fished on very light line. The crappie bite has also come back on in the past week with a fair bite on small minnows. Other species are also very slow. Fishing information: Bob’s Bait 661-833-8657 or www.bobsbaitbucket.com.

BUENA VISTA LAKES: The trout action has slowed down this week after a fair bite into and through the weekend. There were a pair of 2,000-pound plants one before the derby (Nov. 19) and another the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The best action has been on PowerBait fished on line no heavier than four-pound test. Garlic and chunky cheese were the most popular flavors and most anglers are also dousing the bait with garlic scent. Other species are very slow.
